The Hänel Lean-Lift® vertical storage system maximises storage potential by using available room height. Although commonly used as a standalone unit, DMD Storage Group also installs multiple Hänel Lean-Lift® vertical storage systems in large factory-based facilities.
This system enables the use of vertical space as opposed to floor space, increasing your storage capabilities. The Hänel Lean-Lift® vertical storage system is commonly used in the Pharmaceutical, Medical and Automotive industries. The clever product presentation system allows items stored to be immediately provided to the operator.
How Does Our Hänel Lean-Lift ® Vertical Storage System Work?
The Lean-Lift is fast, efficient, and quiet and uses very accurate positioning through light sensors. These innovative light sensors will then assess the size and structure of your products, base an assumption on the best place to store them within the Lean-Lift unit and secure them at their optimal storage location. This process is aided by the Lean-Lift weighing mechanism, which is placed on the machine’s access point.
The Lean-Lift’s drive component runs at a minimal noise level aided by optimised chain technology and rubber-covered sound dampers. This feature is complemented by the Lean-Lifts 4-Point Suspension Extractor for a smooth drive system. The use of Pick-o-Light, Pick-o-Light Vario and Pre-store buffering systems enable an easy-to-use system that reduces the input required by the operator – minimising physical strain on employees. This system presents items to the access area in seconds, improving order-picking performance.
The Hänel Lean-Lift is built-in with Safety and Efficiency as the first protocol. Energy-efficient features such as EcoDrive will allow 40% power recovery. With 4 power-saving settings within EcoMode, power-saving has never been so easy. All controlled from a safe zone with clarity through a screen display. An integrated camera system also increases stock documentation – making operating and documenting a dual process.
Intelligent program systems enable this system to manage:
- Stock quantities
- Storage location
- Picklists and inventories.
- Fast storage and retrieval times and improved order-picking performance
- 60% reduction of storage floor space equals less premises lease costs, less construction costs if premises are full, or use of floor space for revenue-generating activities that would not be possible otherwise
- 250‐400% reduction in pick and put costs through higher output/less personnel
- Reduction of other handling equipment costs such as forklifts and racking
- Incremental revenue from extra sales or winning new business from competitors based on better customer service, delivery speed and so on
- Significant lowering of stock loss costs due to handling damage, mislocation and pilferage
- Significant lowering of costs associated with complaints returns and re‐issue
- Lower insurance premiums based on better safety performance
- State-of-the-art microprocessor controllers communicate with your own data processing systems.
